PM Water Technician

On-site / Full-time / Salary: $18-20/hour
Department: Thermal Mineral Water Systems Operations

POSITION SUMMARY:

The PM Water Technician is a key member of the resort’s Thermal Mineral Water Systems Team, dedicated to maintaining high-quality water standards and ensuring guest health and safety. This role involves comprehensive management of the resort’s thermal mineral water resources, including maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and project implementation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Water Quality and Safety Management: Ensure continuous monitoring and control of water temperature and flow to all resort pools. Uphold the highest standards of water quality, contributing to guest health, safety, and enjoyment.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine upkeep, preventative and corrective maintenance on the thermal mineral water systems, including incident response. Address issues in a timely manner, especially those arising in the thermal mineral water systems or within the Pump House operations.
  • System Management: Oversee the entire thermal mineral water delivery process—from well extraction to geological water conditioning, to pool distribution, to flow channels, to the Thermal Mineral Water settling ponds. Ensure efficient and effective operation of all water systems.
  • Project Implementation: Execute ongoing projects related to the improvement and maintenance of the water systems, ensuring that all initiatives align with the resort’s standards for quality and safety.
  • Operational Flexibility: Work outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions. Availability for late hours, weekends, and holidays as required to meet the resort’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

PM Water Technician Requirements:

  • Experience in building systems, processes, and programs.
  • The ability to perform well despite high levels of ambiguity. And the ability to bring frameworks and approaches to manage through the transformation of abstract plans to established process, procedures and supporting checklists, documentation, and schematics.
  • The ability to design, build, and implement simple, sustainable processes and effective execution checklists. The end-state is always legendary Guest service delivery by driving in place, robust systems, and processes.
  • Experience that demonstrates having worked in a ‘service excellence’ culture and having demonstrated results in working with your Team.
  • The ability to demonstrate your role and philosophy in building ‘Gold Standards’ and the behaviors needed to uphold those standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, contractors, and stakeholders on water projects
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports, proposals, and documentation
  • Experience in water engineering, preferably in the thermal mineral springs industry or relevant experience.
  • Understanding of hydrology, geology, thermodynamics, and water chemistry
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in seasonal weather conditions and requires working to late hours as well as weekends and holidays.
