Durango Hot Springs Renovations

The Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa family are excited about the future of Durango Hot Springs and aim to provide unparalleled amenities and services through the extensive renovation of the historic Trimble Hot Springs.  Thank you for your support and understanding of the current facility condition during the construction period.  We will remain open throughout the renovation and continue to provide soaking in two mineral pools, access to locker rooms, showers, saunas and spa services.

We invite you to view the video of the future improvements coming in 2020.

The final design of the new Durango Hot Springs achieves the sustainable goals for the use of the hot mineral waters on the DHS campus.  The input received from members, visitors, and locals has influenced some of the most important features of the redesign.

The mineral pool renovation consists of the installation of 22 mineral pools at varying temperatures.  Three mineral pools are adjacent to the swimming pool and are open to families.  19 mineral pools are for adult users, including six individual/couple soaking tubs.

The new 25-meter, salt-water lap pool will be able to be shared by all with set times for swimming, exercise, and training.

The swimming pool is designed with a gradual slope to a 4.5’ depth with a total volume of 83,000 gallons and connected to one of three family-friendly mineral pools.

The redesign creates spaces for privacy while also being able to host families or small events. The pools open to families are thoughtfully placed on the campus, giving the best experience for all guests.

The entire DHS team understands the health benefits from soaking in mineral springs.  Attention to ADA accessibility has been at the forefront of the design process.  The redesigned campus will feature 12 ADA accessible mineral pools at varying temperatures, zero-entry access to the swimming pool, and all building access and walkways are designed to be ADA compliant.
